As you age, the nasolabial folds (nose to mouth creases) tend to become more prominent as the face loses fat and gravity pulls the tissues downward. In addition, with gravity, expressions and age, the underlying facial muscles can weaken or descend downward. This creates a depression also considered a tear trough.
For the tear trough, Restylane is the filler of choice to refluff the padding that created the indentation. The colorless hyaluronic-acid-based injectable corrects a tear trough with the same advantages it offers for the correction of under eye bags and dark circles.
