Plastic Surgery Services of Fredericksburg is pleased to announce the addition of the Smartlipo MPX to our practice. Smartlipo is a minimally invasive laser lipolysis system. The system's proprietary pulsing format delivers laser energy through a cannula to liquefy the fat, which is then removed from the body. The laser energy also coagulates the tissue, thereby sculpting body contours and tightening the skin. The procedure generally causes less bleeding, swelling and bruising than traditional liposuction, resulting in fewer complications and faster recovery. Cynosure received U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance to market Smartlipo in 2006.
Smartlipo is ideal for treating localized fat deposits on the face and body.
